UNIVERSITY OF KELANIYA University of Kelaniya is one of state universities of Sri Lanka located in city of kelaniya. University of Kelaniya established in 1875 as Vidyalankara Pirivena by Rathmalane Sri Dhammaloka Thero. It became University of Kelaniya in 1978. There are 7 faculties in the University. Those are Faculty of Science Faculty of Huminity Faculty of Social Science Faculty of Medicine Faculty of commerce and management Faculty of Graduate Studies Faculty of Computing and Technology As well as there are lot of places in the university. Faculty of Science The faculty started in 1967 with Prof.Charles Dahanayake as the Dean of the faculty. The faculty award B.Sc Degrees.
